- Stir in chopped dates, vanilla extract, milk, and egg until just combined.
- Work quickly to keep the dough cold.
Baking
- Scoop dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a circle about 1 inch thick.
- Cut into wedges or desired shapes.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
Notes
For a fun twist, you can replace some of the dates with dried apricots or add orange zest. To enhance sweetness, glaze with vanilla icing or sprinkle sugar on top before baking.
