Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, eggs, baking powder, and mix well.
- Fold in toasted almonds, chocolate chips, and lemon peel.
Baking
- Shape the dough into logs about 1-2 inches wide on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
- Slice the logs diagonally into biscotti pieces.
- Return slices to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until dry.
Notes
Store biscotti in an airtight container to keep them fresh for weeks. They can also be warmed lightly in a microwave for a delicious treat.
